Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. (9:29 Jizya is the money that non-Muslims must pay to their Muslim overlords in a pure Islamic state.)

Qur’an:9:123 “Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you.”

Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. (Qu’ran 98:6)

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe. (Qu’ran 8:55)

Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”

Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”

Qur’an:8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).”

It has absolutely nothing to do with terrorism. Somebody said that Christianity supports slavery, and his implication was that it was the same kind of slavery imposed on the Africans – kidnapping people and forcing them to do whatever the kidnapper’s want.

Don’t be stupid. I’m defending the Bible. People were comparing the Bible to the Quran. And in fact, for the guys saying “The Bible is worse than the Quran”. Let me show you something…..

what does slavery have to do with the whole terrorism thing? oO . . . Stop throwing your religion at people, even though Im christian I dont want it thrown everywhere and being used as an excuse just because YOU! find a problem with something.

And if the slave shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: then his master shall bring him unto God, and he shall bring him to the door or unto the door-post, and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall be his slave forever.

    —Exodus 21:2-6.

When you buy a Hebrew slave, six years shall he serve; and in the seventh shall he go out free, for nothing. If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and the children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself….

God approves of Biblical slavery in the Old Testament, NOT your version of modern day slavery.

Why did he allow this? Because a very large number of the population had no other choice.

They could either offer themselves as slaves, in which they would do work (sow fields, etc) and have food and shelter as payment. Or they could starve to death.

Slavery isn’t wrong… YOUR version of slavery is wrong.

I suppose you think having a butler or maid is morally wrong too? They’re slaves. You’ve brought your own assumptions without even reading the text.

As for the “homosexual” thing, that’s acceptable to many people today because they choose to live however they want. By your logic, having ****** and swapping partners is morally acceptable too…. So is getting drunk every day and randomly screwing anyone you feel like.

stella, don’t be so ignorant. You have absolutely no idea what the Bible or the Quran says. Your idea of a slave is NOT condoned in the Bible at all. When you think “slave” you think of a person who you can treat like complete garbage. The Bible was COMPLETELY against forced slavery or “people stealing”, and I can give you the verses to support that. The ONLY slavery permitted was for those who needed to work off debts (just like you work to pay off a mortgage) or CHOSEN slavery.
